THE PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

A little clarity,
before we begin.

Can we start with one patent family?

Yes. SEP QuickScan is designed for an initial review of one patent family. Further work is scoped according to your objective and what the first review identifies.

What should I share in the first enquiry?

Your review objective, a public publication number if available, and any non-confidential context. Do not share unpublished inventions, confidential claims or internal analysis here.

How do you handle confidentiality?

Indicate whether an NDA is required in your enquiry. Confidentiality terms and a document-sharing process should be agreed before you provide sensitive material. This form is for non-confidential enquiries only; file uploads are not accepted.

What will it cost, and how long does it take?

Scope depends on patent complexity, the number of claims and families, relevant releases and the evidence required. Pricing and timelines would be agreed in a proposal before work begins.

Does a mapping establish legal essentiality?

No. Technical mapping is one input. Claim interpretation, optional features, configurations and implementation evidence can affect conclusions. Legal opinions require qualified legal counsel.

Enquiry privacy information

When you send an enquiry, your email address and the details you provide are sent to FormSubmit, which forwards them to the AMS business inbox hosted by Gmail. AMS uses these details to respond to and scope your enquiry. FormSubmit retains submissions in its archive for 30 days and uses spam protection, including reCAPTCHA. Its privacy policy explains its processing. Do not include confidential material or unpublished inventions.

To request access, correction or deletion of your enquiry, use the enquiry form above and specify your privacy request. Enquiries remain in the business inbox until deleted by its operator; no automatic mailbox deletion period is configured. This website does not save form details in browser storage, run analytics or use advertising cookies. Your browser may offer autocomplete. Vercel processes ordinary hosting access information. Reviewing your request does not send it; choosing “Continue to send” transfers your details to FormSubmit.
